What to Do When Your Ideal Client Engages
Check your post from yesterday. Who engaged?
Likes. Comments. Profile views. New connection requests. Maybe even a DM.
Each of those is a signal. Not a vanity metric — a buying signal. Someone who matches your ICP just told you: "I noticed you. What you said resonated."
Most experts do nothing with that signal. Or worse, they send a pitch.
Today we do something smarter.
💡 HOW WE THINK DIFFERENTLY
Cold outreach fails because there's no context. You're a stranger asking for something.
But after yesterday's post, you're not a stranger anymore. Someone who liked your content about their specific pain has already self-selected. They've already agreed with your perspective. The conversation is half-started.
The difference between a cold pitch and a warm conversation is one piece of content. You already posted it.
Now the question isn't "how do I sell?" It's "how do I continue a conversation that already started?"
That reframe changes everything about outreach. And AI is perfect for generating conversation starters when you have context.
🎯 YOUR AI PLAYBOOK
Open Claude or ChatGPT:
1 Identify Your Warm Leads
List the people who engaged with yesterday's post. For each person, note:
• Their name and title
• How they engaged (like, comment, view)
• One thing from their profile that connects to your offer
Paste this into Claude/ChatGPT and add:
"Here are people who engaged with my content about [topic]. My offer is: [Day 2 offer]. For each person:

(1) Rate them as a lead: hot (commented/DM'd), warm (liked/viewed), or cool (just connected)
(2) Generate a personalized opening message that references their engagement or something specific from their profile. NOT a pitch. A genuine conversation starter. Think 'curious question' not 'sales script.'"
2 The Curious Question Framework
For your top 3 warm leads, ask AI:
"For each of these people, write a 2-sentence DM that:

(1) References something specific about them (not my content)
(2) Asks a genuine question about their work that connects to the pain point my offer solves
(3) Feels like something a real person would send, not a template

No pitch. No link. No mention of my offer. Just human curiosity."
3 The Follow-Up Map
If they respond (most warm leads do), ask AI:
"They responded to my curious question with [their reply]. Write a natural follow-up that:

(1) Acknowledges what they said
(2) Shares one small insight from my expertise that's genuinely helpful
(3) Ends with an invitation to continue the conversation (coffee chat, voice note, quick call) — not a sale"

Send 3 messages today. Just 3. One to a "hot" lead (someone who commented). Two to "warm" leads (people who liked or viewed).
Use the curious question framework. No pitch. No link. Just start a real conversation.
Reply to this email with what happens. Even "no response yet" is useful — I'll tell you when to follow up and how.
