Day 3 of 14 β€” VALIDATION DAY

Hand-Raiser Signal Validation

Test if your offer resonates using exact pain language - your first real market validation

Time: 1h minimum OR 2-3h comprehensive + recurring 20min/day starts
Goal: 20+ engagements (comments/DMs)
Critical: Go/No-Go gate at 6pm
🚨 Critical Go/No-Go Gate

If you get fewer than 20 engagements by 6pm, STOP the sprint. Diagnose: (1) Wrong fishing holes, (2) Wrong pain language, or (3) Wrong offer angle. You MUST fix BEFORE Day 4. Building without validation = building something nobody wants.

πŸ” Recurring Tasks Start Today

From Day 3→14, you'll spend +20min/day engaging comments. By Day 14 = 1h 55min recurring. Tool 3A compresses this (20min→5min), but you MUST reply to every comment within 1 hour.

βœ“ Pre-Flight Checklist: Days 1-2 Handoff

Day 3 is VALIDATION. Don't proceed until ALL boxes checked:

Day 3 is VALIDATION. Post hand-raiser content using Day 2 pain language, engage EVERY comment, track warm leads by temperature. Goal: 20+ engagements to prove people care about this offer.

Jason's Lens: Testing vs Begging

Reframe: You're not selling, you're testing. Not "please buy" (begging) but "I noticed this pain, built something, curious if anyone else has this" (data collection).

Worst case: 0 responses = valuable data (pain language wrong OR fishing holes wrong). Better to learn Day 3 than Day 12.

Most likely: 15-25 responses, 3-5 hot leads = validation + refinement data.

Leading Indicators
10am
3 posts live across fishing holes (space 2-3h apart)
12pm
5+ comments - if 0 by noon, diagnose immediately
2pm
10+ engagements - replied to ALL within 1h
4pm
15+ engagements - 2-3 hot leads to DMs
6pm
20+ LOCKED or DIAGNOSE
What You're Probably Feeling

"What if nobody responds?" "What if I look desperate?" "What if people think I'm spamming?"

This is normal. You're publicly testing. That's vulnerable. Here's reality:

Anxiety β†’ Rational Thinking

βœ… You're Not Selling

Actually doing: "Anyone else have this problem?" using THEIR words.

Not desperate: You gave value Day 2. Now offering help = reciprocity.

Social proof: Derek/Nico commenting = instant credibility.

βœ… Worst Case Isn't Bad

0 responses: Learned messaging is off. Valuable data.

Most likely: 15-25 responses = validation + refinement.

βœ… You Can Delete/Edit

Iterative: 5 variations. If Direct bombs, try Story.

If Paralyzed at "Post" Button

1. Start small: Post in smallest hole first (practice).

2. Text Derek/Will: "Nervous, normal?" They'll confirm.

3. Mantra: "Testing, not begging. Data collection, not desperation."

VARIATION 5 - CONTRARIAN:

All posts:
- Use pain phrase VERBATIM
- No pitch in post (just curiosity/help)
- Engagement question at end
- Platform: LinkedIn tone

Google Sheet

Tool 3D: Engagement Command Center

Track all engagement. Color codes: πŸ”΄ >2h no reply, 🟑 warm not followed up, 🟒 handled.

β†’ Open Sheet
After Posting (10am checkpoint)
  • Used pain phrase VERBATIM from Day 2 (not paraphrased)
  • No pitch in post (just "interested?" not "buy now")
  • Derek/Nico commented within 1h (social proof)
  • Post is live in all planned fishing holes

RED FLAG: If you added pitch ("Sign up here!") = instant spam flag. Delete, repost clean.

After Engaging (4pm checkpoint)
  • Replied to ALL comments within 1h of their timestamp
  • Replies are thoughtful (not "thanks!"), ask follow-ups
  • Moved 3+ hot leads (said "me"/"interested") to DMs
  • DM conversations started (not just "sent request")

RED FLAG: If replies took >2h = lost momentum. Set phone alarm for comment notifications.

❌ Avoid These Mistakes
❌ Posting all 5 variations at once in same community
β†’ Looks desperate/spammy, mods ban you
βœ… Post 1 variation, wait 2h, gauge response before next
❌ Generic replies "Thanks for engaging!"
β†’ Conversation dies, no DM transition
βœ… "What specifically about pricing feels hardest?" (continue conversation)
❌ Waiting until 5pm to check engagement
β†’ 0 comments, too late to pivot
βœ… Check at noon - if 0, diagnose immediately (see edge cases)
Engagement Examples

βœ… GOOD - 20 Engagements, 5 Hot Leads

Post A: 8 comments + 2 DMs (3 said "me", pattern: pricing anxiety)

Post B: 5 comments + 1 DM (2 asked "how?", interested in framework)

Post C: 4 comments ("resonates", shared own story)

Total: 17 comments + 3 DMs = 20 engagements, 5 hot (πŸ”₯) identified

β†’ PROCEED: Validated demand, have warm leads for Day 6

❌ BAD - Looks Like 20 But Isn't

Post A: 15 likes + 2 "great post!"

Post B: 20 likes, 1 "thanks for sharing"

Post C: 10 likes

Total: 45 likes + 3 generic comments = 3 real engagements

Why fails: Likes don't count. Generic comments = no interest signal.

β†’ DIAGNOSE: Wrong pain language or fishing holes

End of Day 3 Decision Points
βœ… 20+ engagements, 5+ hot leads identified
β†’ PROCEED to Day 4: Validated demand. Build validation page tomorrow using these leads' language.
⚠️ 15-19 engagements, 3+ hot leads
β†’ PROCEED with caution: Post 2 more variations tomorrow morning. If hit 25 total by noon, continue. Monitor Day 4 closely.
⚠️ 12-14 engagements, but 6+ said "me"
β†’ PROCEED: Quality > quantity. 6 hot leads = enough for validation. Refine messaging Days 4-6.
πŸ›‘ <12 engagements OR 0-2 hot leads
β†’ STOP & DIAGNOSE: Run diagnostic (below). Don't proceed to Day 4 until fixed.
πŸ” If <20 Engagements: Diagnostic Protocol

Check 1: Fishing holes wrong?

  • Did Derek/Nico's comments get engagement? (If yes = hole is active, if no = dead community)
  • Did OTHER posts in community get comments today? (If yes = your post was problem, if no = community dead)
  • Fix: Find different fishing holes Day 4, repost there

Check 2: Pain language wrong?

  • Did anyone comment "me too" or share their own story? (If yes = pain resonates but offer doesn't, if no = wrong pain)
  • Go back to Day 2 threads - is your pain phrase actually what they said, or did you paraphrase?
  • Fix: Use DIFFERENT pain phrase (Day 2 #2 or #3), repost tomorrow

Check 3: Offer angle wrong?

  • Did people engage with pain but NOT say "interested"? (Pain right, solution wrong)
  • Fix: Day 4, test different angle: "FREE workshop" vs "Paid sprint" - see which gets more interest
Edge Cases
What if: 0 comments by noon?

β†’ IMMEDIATE ACTION (don't wait til 6pm):

  • Delete post (dead in water, won't recover)
  • Try STORY variation in different fishing hole
  • Text Derek: "Can you share my next post for reach?"
  • If still 0 by 2pm β†’ wrong fishing holes, extend Day 2
What if: 30+ comments but all "great post!" (no "me")?

β†’ DIAGNOSIS: Post was interesting but not actionable. People liked idea, didn't see themselves in it.

β†’ FIX: Tomorrow, post more DIRECT: "If you're stuck in 1:1s making <$5K/mo and want to package into $3K group offer, comment 'me' - building something for exactly this."

βœ… Day 3 Complete β†’ What Happens Next

Tonight: Review hot lead DMs. Note common objections/questions for Day 4 validation page.

Tomorrow (Day 4): Build validation page using language from TODAY's comments. You'll send this to your 15-20 warm leads Day 6.

Recurring work: From now on, spend 20min/day (5min with Tool 3A) engaging new comments on your posts. This compounds daily.

Post in Slack: "Day 3 done βœ… Engagements: [X]. Hot leads: [Y]. Temperature: πŸ”₯[A] 🟑[B] βšͺ[C]. [Proceed/Diagnose]."
